An incident that occurred on a highway in Kabardino-Balkaria has become known.
Five people died in a two-car accident.
RIA Novosti reports this with reference to information provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Zolsky District of Kabardino-Balkaria.
According to the department, the fatal accident occurred on December 23 at about 11 a.m. local time (the same as Moscow time).
Two foreign cars driving along the Kavkaz highway collided with each other. As a result, both drivers of the Chevrolet and Volkswagen, as well as passengers in the first car, died due to injuries sustained in the incident.
It is noted that there was also a passenger in the Volkswagen, but he was lucky to escape without injuries.
Law enforcement officers have arrived at the scene of the incident and are investigating all the circumstances of the incident. Traffic at the accident site has been organized without delays.
The cause of the accident, which killed five people, remains unknown.
