An incident that took place in Yakutia has become known.
One of the firefighters went missing while fighting forest fires in the country.
The incident was reported on the official Telegram channel of the Yakutia Rescue Service.
It is noted that the fire was extinguished on July 10 near the village of Belkachi. Since then, the firefighter who fought the fire in this area has not been in touch.
For two days now, the location of the man born in 1987 remains unknown. The firefighter has not contacted anyone and has not given any sign of himself.
Today, July 12, a helicopter of Polar Airlines was sent to search for the missing firefighter. On board the aircraft are five rescuers of the Yakutia Rescue Service, who will be engaged in determining the location of the firefighter.
It is noted that windy and dry weather has set in in Yakutia. Because of this, smoke accumulates in the air, which significantly complicates the process of extinguishing fires.
The situation in the region is expected to remain unchanged until the end of July.
