Al Arabiya TV reports new details about the fate of Hashem Safieddin.
According to a Lebanese security source, he was killed in an Israeli air strike.
The attack took place on October 4 at a safe house in Beirut while senior Hezbollah members were meeting there, Al Arabiya said in a statement.
After the strike, contact with Hashem Safieddin was lost.
Several of his aides and Hezbollah field commanders may have been killed along with him, it was reported.
The Israeli army also confirmed that it had killed two senior members of Hamas' military wing in Lebanon.
Hezbollah representatives have not yet commented on the information about the possible death of Safieddin.
The search for Hashem Safieddine, who went missing at the scene of the attack, is complicated. The IDF continues to carry out massive strikes on Lebanon.
Previously, Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli strike on September 27.
