Expired food found in Russian school after children were poisoned

Expired products were discovered in a secondary school in Novocheboksarsk.

The Prosecutor's Office of the Chuvash Republic confirmed the presence of expired products in the school, discovered during an inspection.

Following complaints about the mass poisoning of schoolchildren and teachers, Deputy City Prosecutor Vladimir Yagudin arrived at the scene.

The department's message on its Telegram channel said that Yagudin stopped an attempt to take expired food products from the school cafeteria.

A school in Novocheboksarsk tried to get rid of the bad food after 19 students and one adult reported signs of poisoning after lunch.

The department's report emphasizes that there was an attempt to take the food out through the school's emergency exit.

During the inspection it was established that the specified products showed signs of expiration.

The Chuvash Ministry of Health stated that 20 people, including 19 children, sought medical help.
