The Mariinsky City Court found the former official guilty of a fatal road accident that occurred due to her fault.
The convicted woman will have to spend 5 years and 6 months in a penal colony. She will also not be allowed to drive for two years.
The woman fully admitted her guilt in the crime she was accused of and cooperated with the investigation throughout the entire trial.
Circumstances of the case
According to the investigation, the incident occurred on August 3, 2024 in the city of Mariinsk.
A policewoman, while intoxicated, got behind the wheel of a vehicle and ran over a 73-year-old man. The victim was riding in the same direction with a bicycle.
The man died as a result of his injuries.
