The death toll from the emergency in the suburbs of Makhachkala has increased.

The explosion at the gas station injured 21 people. Ten died, including two children.

By 21:38 (Moscow time) it became known that firefighters had managed to extinguish the open fire at the gas station.
The head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, arrived at the scene of the emergency. He noted the work of the ambulance teams in his Telegram channel.
The official emphasized that the coordinated and professional actions of doctors saved more than one life today.
In addition, volunteers are providing assistance to doctors and rescuers.
Eyewitnesses were the first to come to the aid of the wounded.
The rubble is currently being cleared, and searches are underway for survivors and the bodies of the dead. Meanwhile, doctors are providing assistance to those hospitalized.
