The Minister of Transport of the Rostov Region is accused of illegal possession of weapons or ammunition.
RIA Novosti reported this with reference to information distributed by the united press service of the courts of the Rostov region.
Vitaly Kushnarev is a defendant in a case of carrying and illegal storage of weapons or ammunition. Other details of the crime he is accused of are not specified.
Earlier, it was reported that the official and his deputy Dmitry Mamelko had been detained. Both were suspected of receiving a large bribe in the amount of 27 million rubles: RIA Novosti received information about this from law enforcement agencies.
Having reviewed the information on the case, the court ordered the defendant to be remanded in custody. Kushnarev will remain under arrest until January 24, 2025 inclusive.
