Concentration of harmful substances increased in Kalach-na-Donu due to fire

Despite this, fires broke out at a substation in the city of Frolovo and an oil depot in Kalach-on-Don.

High levels of pollutants have been detected at the site where the oil depot is burning after an attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle. RIA Novosti reports details, citing the regional office of Rospotrebnadzor.

It is noted that experts have studied the air quality. As a result of the research, they have found that the norm has been exceeded.

It is also known that harmful compounds were found in the air: carbon and sulfur oxides, formaldehyde.

According to the department, air quality testing at the site of the fire is still ongoing.

In connection with the fire, Rospotrebnadzor advises people to avoid staying outside for long periods of time, not to open windows, and to use personal protective equipment.
