The verdict of the co-owner of "Winter Cherry"
Vishnevsky was sentenced in 2022. The co-owner of the shopping center where the tragedy occurred was given eight years in prison and was also ordered to pay a large fine of 21 million rubles.
The defendant in the case gave this amount to the former head of the State Construction Supervision Authority of Kuzbass, Tanzila Komkova, in order to obtain permission to put the building into operation.
However, serious violations were committed during its reconstruction.
Subsequently, the fine was increased to 70 million rubles, and Vishnevsky's sentence was softened, sending him to forced labor.
