The incident occurred on the Khasavyurt-Tlokh road. Law enforcement officers stopped a VAZ car.
While checking documents, a man named Ali Demilkhanov opened fire on law enforcement officers.
He used a firearm against police officers. Two law enforcement officers were hospitalized.
The perpetrator managed to escape from the scene.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the criminal was moving around in a niqab - a women's wide, dark-colored garment, gloves and a headdress that covers the face but leaves a narrow slit for the eyes.
The police are now searching for the shooter and warning local residents of the danger.
The criminal is a native of the village of Novaya Zhizn, Shali district of Chechnya.
