The case was opened under the article on causing death by negligence.
Circumstances of the incident
According to the department, two bodies were found in an apartment in building No. 4, located on Poselkova Street in Ryazan.
As the investigation established, the deceased were men born in 1965 and 1988. The exact cause of death of the apartment building residents is being determined.
They were not the only victims. Five residents of the same building were taken to hospital from the scene. Four of the five victims were children, and all showed signs of carbon monoxide poisoning.
According to the preliminary version of the investigation, the cause of the tragedy may be related to gas equipment that the residents installed themselves. This equipment was found by law enforcement officers and seized.
