A car drove into a crowd of people visiting a Christmas market in the city of Magdeburg (federal state of Saxony-Anhalt).

According to the portal, eleven people became victims of the incident.

Another 60 or so received injuries of varying severity.

Some people managed to dodge the car rushing towards them. Thanks to this, they not only survived, but were also unharmed.

The market where the fair was held has been closed. Law enforcement officers are currently working there.

It is noted that the car crashed into the crowd at high speed.

The driver drove towards Magdeburg City Hall without slowing down.

The culprit of the incident was detained at the scene.

Police and medical personnel organized a special operation at the scene of the emergency.
