The regional press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported the incident on its Telegram channel.
As specified in the publication, the incident occurred at 10:00 a.m. local time (11:00 a.m. Moscow time).
The driver of a Toyota passenger car, for some unknown reason, continued driving in the direction of the railway tracks, despite the fact that the traffic light showed a red light.
As a result, the vehicle collided with the train.
It is noted that in addition to the driver, there was also a male passenger in the car. The woman who was driving and her passenger were injured.
The driver was sent for outpatient treatment, and the second victim was taken to hospital. Doctors assess his condition as serious.
State Traffic Safety Inspectorate officers are working at the scene to determine the remaining circumstances of the incident.
