Tourists were involved in a traffic accident in Egypt.
The accident occurred on the Sharm el-Sheikh – Cairo highway on Saturday, November 9.
According to the Cairo24 portal, the accident occurred in the city of Ras Sidr (South Sinai province).
The tourist bus was carrying about 40 people, including approximately 30 Russian citizens.
At some point the vehicle left the road and immediately overturned on its right side. There is a version that the driver fell asleep and lost control.
The exact number of victims is not known. In addition to Russians, citizens of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan (3 people), Ukraine (1 person) and Egypt (4 people) were injured.
Law enforcement officers and medical personnel quickly arrived at the scene.
All victims were hospitalized at a local hospital and are receiving assistance. There is no information about the accident's victims.
