An Air India pilot has reported a bomb threat on board a plane approaching London.

At this point, the pilot calmly informs the controllers that there is presumably a bomb in the plane over London.

RAF Typhoon fighter jets were scrambled immediately, Mail Online reports.

They were trying to meet flight AIC129 from Mumbai to Heathrow after a bomb threat was reported on board.

The pilot of the Boeing 777 said that there was probably a bomb on board and requested to land.

The government and civil aviation authorities have already warned that strict measures will be taken.

On Tuesday, Indian airline Vistara said its flight from Frankfurt to Mumbai had received a safety threat on social media but landed safely.
