It became known about a discovery made by Belarusian border guards.
A firearm was found in one of the parcels sent to Belarus from Russia.
As noted in the Telegram channel, it was stated that the shipment contained plumbing equipment.
The dangerous discovery was made during a joint operation by customs officers from the capital of Belarus, Minsk, and the city of Vitebsk.
As a result of operational investigative activities, the following were seized:
- small arms;
- 30 pistol parts;
- more than 950 units of ammunition for firearms.
The prohibited contents of the parcel became known after its scanning at the Minsk National Airport. During this, it was discovered that instead of the declared plumbing, the shipment contained weapons.
After opening the package, a pistol with a holster and cartridges for it were found.
The Belarusian citizen, in whose name the parcel arrived, was detained and a criminal case was opened against him.
