An incident that occurred in Kuzbass has become known.
The man, while intoxicated, beat the puppy and threw the dog into the trash.
Now, according to a publication by the regional prosecutor's office press service on a Telegram channel, he faces up to three years in prison.
It is specified that the man is a defendant in a case of cruelty to animals. If he is found guilty, the accused may be deprived of freedom for up to 3 years.
Circumstances of the case
As the investigation revealed, the beating incident occurred in February 2024.
While intoxicated, the man grabbed the three-month-old puppy by the hind legs and slammed the animal twice hard against the corner of a garbage container.
The animal abuser didn’t stop there: after the beating, the defendant threw the puppy in the trash.
Since it was February, the man realized that the animal would not survive long in the cold.
Fortunately, the injured puppy was discovered by a passing couple. The couple provided assistance to the animal in serious condition and saved it from a painful death.
