The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia did not ignore the inaction of the Ivanovo police.

Alexander Bastrykin ordered a criminal case to be opened because law enforcement officers in the Ivanovo region ignored the appeals of a local resident for a long time.

The press service of the Russian Investigative Committee reported this on Monday, July 22, in its Telegram channel.

The head of the department called for officials who fail to act while the crime is being committed to be held accountable.

A resident of Ivanovo contacted the police. She complained about illegal actions on the part of her husband.

The Russian woman has repeatedly asked law enforcement officers to hold her husband accountable.

But the reaction came only after the man took up arms and opened fire at the windows of the home, where the victim's young daughters were at the time.
