Arrested ex-mayor of Sochi faces up to 10 years in prison

Russian law enforcement officials have reported that the arrested former mayor of Sochi, Alexei Kopaigorodsky, could face a hefty prison sentence.

It is reported that Kopaigorodsky was involved in large-scale embezzlement.

Law enforcement officials explained: “Such an offense could result in 10 years of imprisonment,” as reported by TASS .

In addition, it is reported that the accused may be required to pay a substantial fine.
