According to preliminary data, people did not have time to leave their apartments.
The rubble is currently being cleared at the site, TASS reports.

Emergency services reported that people were injured as a result of a gas explosion in a residential building.
The report also emphasized that there was a second partial collapse in the house.
In a building in Nizhny Tagil, two entrances collapsed – the first and the second.
Residents of the affected part of the multi-storey building are being evacuated using available means.
According to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, three people have been rescued from under the rubble of a partially collapsed house.
An airborne rescue team also arrived at the scene.
The cause of the incident was an explosion of a gas-air mixture due to a possible malfunction of the equipment and its operation.
Information about those injured during the collapse is still being clarified.
