The defendant is accused of giving a large bribe for patronage in concluding contracts for the sewing of uniforms.
The company is the main supplier of clothing and equipment for the Russian National Guard, Kommersant writes.
Case for bribery
The head of the company is accused under Part 4 of Article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The investigation found that the suspect transferred more than 200 thousand rubles to the card of an FSIN employee.
Under this article, the defendant could face up to 12 years in prison.
After his arrest, the businessman was placed in a pretrial detention facility, but denies guilt.
According to acquaintances of the detainee, he had been communicating with the FSIN employee for many years.
He transferred money to her card without any conditions in order to help with her mother’s treatment.
The bribery case may be heard in the Moscow Garrison Military Court.
