There was an incident in the United States involving a man wearing a clown mask.
A stranger entered the room of an eight-year-old child and tried to kidnap him.
The incident was reported by CBS News . According to media reports, the attacker was 56-year-old Thomas Gallegos.
The offender was taken into custody and charged with burglary, assault and attempted kidnapping.
Circumstances of the case
As law enforcement agencies found out, the suspect entered the house under cover of night and burst into the room of an 8-year-old girl.
The man pounced on her and tried to pull her off the bed, but the victim began to resist.
Then the man in the clown mask began to strangle the girl. Fortunately, he failed: the child managed to escape from the kidnapper's hands.
The man then left the scene, leaving gloves and a clown mask in the victim's house.
The girl immediately ran to her parents' room, who called the police. As a result of the incident, the child escaped with minor bruises.
