A resident of St. Petersburg, who became a victim of a bear, trained predators for many years.

The tragedy in the Northern capital shook the entire city.

A resident of the village of Pargolovo was attacked by a bear, the MIR24 TV channel reports. And it happened not in the forest, but at her home.

The woman trained the predators for about 10 years. The bears lived in enclosures on the territory of her house.

On July 11, the animals somehow found themselves free. The animals attacked their owner. She could not be saved.

One bear was shot and the other was temporarily euthanized.

The TV channel notes that the deceased belonged to the Zapashny-Simado-Maslyanov circus dynasty.

She trained predators and performed on stage with her husband and son.

The bears lived there legally. The neighbors were calm about it and did not expect that everything would turn out like this.

Investigators are currently looking into what happened. One of the main questions is how the bears got out of the enclosure.
