A 43-year-old Russian man showed up at a St. Petersburg cafe with a live grenade.
The tragedy did not happen thanks to law enforcement officers who neutralized the violent patron of the establishment.
The details were reported on her Telegram channel by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Irina Volk.
A resident of St. Petersburg came to a cafe on Sofiyskaya Street. The establishment is located in the same building where the attacker lives.
A man showed up at a cafe holding a live F-1 grenade with a broken pin. He began threatening to finish the job and use the ammunition against customers and staff.
The police officers who arrived promptly carried out a diversionary maneuver, took the grenade and detained the St. Petersburg resident.
Now the man faces at least one criminal case. The actions of the resident of the Northern capital have already been classified as hooliganism.
After the grenade is examined, he may still face criminal charges for illegal trafficking of weapons and ammunition.
