The St. Petersburg police have identified the perpetrator who opened fire on the windows of an educational institution on July 11.
The crime was committed by a seventh-grader who studies at the school that was attacked.
The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region provided this information on its official Telegram channel.
The teenager was taken to the police station and interrogated, and then handed over to his parents. A criminal case may be opened against the minor hooligan.
Circumstances of the case
According to the publication, the incident was reported by the school's caretaker, located on Shuvalovsky Prospekt.
As law enforcement officers found out, the shooting took place at about 4:00 p.m. on July 10. This was indicated by characteristic chips on several windows of the school classrooms.
It was established that a seventh-grader was involved in the shooting, who armed himself with an air pistol and opened fire on the building.
The teenager's motives for his actions remain unknown.
