The Primorsky Krai Prosecutor's Office reported that a road bridge partially collapsed on the Osinovka - Rudnaya Pristan - Sokolovka road.
The destruction was recorded today, August 20.
Law enforcement officials noted: “At the 14th kilometer of the highway, partial destruction of the bridge structure was discovered,” as reported by TASS .
The prosecutor's office initiated an investigation into the incident.
Critical situation
At present, vehicle traffic along the dilapidated bridge is partially restricted.
As law enforcement officials indicated, the damage to the road bridge could have occurred due to heavy, prolonged rains.
Police officers noted that an observation cordon was set up in the area to ensure traffic safety.
In addition, law enforcement officials remain in control of restoring access.
Police determined that the bridge structure was first erected in 1973. It is currently in need of repair.
