The press service of the Omsk Region Prosecutor's Office reported this on its Telegram channel.
The man is accused of committing a crime under the article on cruelty to an animal, resulting in the death of the latter.
An aggravating circumstance is the fact that the resident of the Omsk region committed the murder in front of a little girl.
Circumstances of the case
As the investigation established, the murder was committed in May 2024.
The 29-year-old defendant in the case had a falling out with his common-law wife. In a fit of anger, the man attacked their house cat and broke the animal's neck.
The brutal massacre took place in front of the woman's young daughter.
It is noted that the defendant in the case admitted his guilt in the murder only partially. According to him, the child was not in the room during the massacre of the animal.
