A resident of St. Petersburg has become a defendant in a criminal case.

The woman is accused of insulting the feelings of believers because of an offensive inscription she made on an arch near the temple.

This information was published on the Telegram channel of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for St. Petersburg.

The St. Petersburg resident is accused of public actions that express disrespect for society and also hurt the feelings of believers.

The 22-year-old local resident was promptly detained; she will soon be charged under a criminal article and a preventive measure will be chosen.

Circumstances of the case

As the investigation found out, the incident took place on July 30. On that day, an offensive phrase written with an aerosol can was discovered.

On August 2, employees of the Center "E" carried out control and search activities in order to identify the offender.

It turned out to be a 22-year-old local resident. The motives for her actions remain unknown.
