An unpleasant event occurred in Kamchatka on Friday: a raft with tourists capsized. RIA Novosti reports the details with reference to the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for Kamchatka Krai.
The incident took place on the Bystraya River.
It is noted that at the indicated location, an eyewitness noticed a raft and several people on the water.
According to the press service, as a result of the raft capsizing, one person, who was a guide, went missing.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations noted that two vacationers managed to escape, but the guide was washed away by the current.
They also noted that the married couple was saved by the presence of life vests.
It is added that the man and woman were examined by specialists. They were given the necessary assistance. The guide has not yet been found. The search for him is ongoing.
