About a thousand square meters are engulfed in flames at the Plastik plant in the Tula region.
Information about the emergency was reported on Thursday, September 5, on the Telegram channel of the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The incident occurred in the city of Uzlovaya on the territory of the Plastik enterprise on Tulskaya Street. No casualties were reported.
The flames quickly spread throughout the workshop under construction and engulfed a significant area of the industrial facility.
Eight fire crews arrived at the scene. 30 people are involved in extinguishing the fire. The cause of the fire has not yet been reported.
At first it was said that the fire covered 1 thousand square meters, but later the Ministry of Emergency Situations clarified that the fire continued to spread and the area of the fire is now estimated at 1.5 thousand square meters.
The fire engulfed the area where the containers with machine oil were located, causing the flames to quickly spread throughout the workshop.
Regional Security Minister Sergei Kosov has left for the scene of the emergency. Rospotrebnadzor intends to take air samples.
