A Red Wings airline plane flying from Turkey to Russia suddenly landed in a different location.

The plane that took off from Istanbul to Kaluga landed at Vnukovo airport due to bad weather conditions.

The press service of Kaluga airport clarified the details of the situation in a conversation with TASS .

The department's statement emphasized that flight WZ4670 Istanbul - Kaluga was forced to land at an alternate airfield in Vnukovo.

The plane was forced to land in another location due to strong gusts of wind in the Kaluga region.

The crew's decision to land at the alternate airfield in Vnukovo was dictated by the safety interests of the passengers.

It was also noted that passengers heading to Kaluga will be transported to the region by transfer.

Passengers who planned to fly on flight WZ4669 Kaluga – St. Petersburg will be provided with a transfer to Vnukovo.

Kaluga airport confirmed that the airport is operating in a high alert mode to ensure passenger comfort in adverse weather conditions.
