According to investigators, the 18-year-old resident of Omsk was involved in several dozen episodes of fraud.
Using a shadow portal, the young man acquired several numbers of people who previously had accounts on the State Services portal.
After this, the defendant in the case purchased SIM cards, with the help of which he restored account data in order to get into people’s personal accounts.
The fraudster transferred the recovered data to interested buyers, who used it to issue microloans and loans to unsuspecting citizens.
For his services, the fraudster received payment in cryptocurrency from unknown citizens.
According to preliminary data, the young man may be involved in 50 thefts of funds using the State Services website.
