The Prosecutor's Office and the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Krasnodar Region will check the information about the death of a child who swallowed a battery.
It is emphasized that the six-month-old boy accidentally swallowed a battery, after which he was taken to the Children's Clinical Hospital in Krasnodar.
The prosecutor's office explained: "Despite the fact that doctors removed a battery from the child's stomach, he did not survive," as reported by TASS .
It is indicated that the victim died as a result of internal bleeding.

Law enforcement officials added: "The bleeding started after the boy underwent an endoscopy. Doctors intended to check the condition of the esophagus."
The child was urgently taken to intensive care, but he died three days later on the operating table.
