Russian law enforcement officers have uncovered a major fraud scheme.
Fraudsters stole tens of millions of rubles during the implementation of the national project.

We are talking about a national project in the field of education. The criminal acts were committed three years ago.
According to preliminary estimates, more than 50 million rubles were stolen from the state at that time. Other details have not yet been disclosed.
But the investigative authorities received sufficient grounds to initiate a criminal case based on the actions committed in 2021.
The defendants are to be held liable for fraud on an especially large scale (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of Russia).
National projects of the Russian Federation
In 2018, Vladimir Putin issued a decree that defined 12 national projects. They became key areas of the country's strategic development until 2024.
In the spring of 2024, the country's leadership discussed an updated preliminary list of national projects until 2030. So far, it contains 19 items.
