The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case regarding the discovery of a newborn girl on the street.
The child was reportedly found on the street in the city of Fatezh in the Kursk region.
The baby was alive and was sent to a specialized institution, TASS reports.
At present, law enforcement officers are searching for the newborn's mother, and investigative measures have been initiated.

It is also emphasized that the mother of the abandoned girl is accused of attempted murder of her own child.
It is explained that the incident was recorded on July 22 of this year, 2024.
The newborn girl was discovered by a passerby who was walking through an area near Lesnaya Street in the city of Fatezh.
The baby was quickly taken to a medical facility, where medical workers provided him with assistance. At the moment, nothing threatens the child's life and health.
