The press service of the Main Investigative Committee of St. Petersburg reported the incident on its Telegram channel.
A criminal case has been opened on the incident under the article on the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements.
Circumstances of the case
As the investigation found out, the operation that could have caused the death of the 20-year-old man was performed on August 22. The type of surgical intervention is not specified.
After the procedure, the man was ordered to return for a follow-up examination in a few days. On August 28, during medical procedures, the man died for reasons that are still unknown.
The Investigative Committee has begun an investigation into the incident in order to find out what caused the young man's death and whether the private clinic where he underwent surgery was involved in the incident.
