A serious accident involving public transport occurred in Saint Petersburg.
Governor Alexander Beglov confirmed the information about the emergency at Vosstaniya Square on his Telegram channel.
The bus crashed into another bus and rammed two cars.
As a result of the accident, ten people were injured, Beglov reported. The governor stressed that he is keeping the situation under personal control.
Seven adults and three minors were injured. Nine people were hospitalized, one child was treated on the spot. He was diagnosed with a bruised leg.

Beglov emphasized that the medics worked quickly and efficiently. The medics arrived at the scene of the accident 4 minutes after the incident.
The massive accident was caused by a bus driver who was turning from Nevsky onto Ligovsky Prospekt.
He failed to let oncoming traffic pass. First he crashed into another bus and then rammed cars.
On October 25, a verdict was passed on the driver who was responsible for the bus driving off a bridge and falling into the Moika River in May 2024. Seven people died.
The man received 6 years of imprisonment in a general regime penal colony.
