According to IG Metall's calculations, about 250 workers from the Volkswagen plant have now come out to protest. In addition, there are also people with placards in front of the BMW plant.

According to media reports, a strike is expected near the Audi plant located in Ingolstadt.

People are striking because they believe that wages in the country need to be raised due to rising inflation.

It is noted that the union is insisting on a 7% increase in wages, as well as an increase in the salary of interns by 170 euros.

At the same time, VW's board of directors previously announced plans to cut several thousand jobs as part of austerity measures.
