The military has spotted unidentified UAVs over three US air bases in Britain.
The Americans refuse to comment on the situation.
PA Media reports that drones were seen flying over three military installations in Britain between November 20 and 22.
We are talking about the US bases of Mildenhall, Suffolk, Feltwell and Lakenheath (until 2008, the Americans stored B-61 nuclear bombs here).
The press has reached out to US Air Force representatives for comment, but they have not yet confirmed that they are talking about “enemy drones.”
It was not possible to determine the UAV's affiliation. The American side refused to say whether any means of destruction were used.
The military only stated that they intend to defend their facilities.
There is also no data on the exact number of drones. It is noted that their number fluctuated. It is only known that these were UAVs of different sizes and configurations.
For reference
A military airbase is an airfield complex that includes a permanent runway, a network of taxiways, and protected aircraft parking areas.
