Two US states are under threat from the spread of a rare mosquito-borne virus.

Due to the threat of the virus spreading, the states of Vermont and Massachusetts have imposed curfews, reports the Daily Mail .

These US regions have asked their populations to stay home in the evening (6pm to 6am) and many public events have been cancelled.

Epidemiologists found 47 groups of mosquito carriers in 11 small towns and 3 cities.
