While working, they came across a hidden treasure, which consisted of many coins.
Their approximate value is estimated at 500 thousand zlotys (12 million rubles). Experts note that this is a record-breaking treasure for Poland.
During the excavations, coins from the 16th–17th centuries were found. Of particular value is the silver thaler depicting King Sigismund III.
This coin is very rare to find. In 2023, such a thaler was sold at auction for 2 million rubles. However, that coin was worse preserved than the one from the recently found treasure.
