The departure of flight UJ601 (Hurghada – Sheremetyevo) was postponed several times, RIA Novosti reports.
The plane, operated by private company Al Marsia Universal Airlines, was scheduled to depart on the evening of August 17.
But the flight did not take place at the appointed time. The tourists were accommodated in a hotel and provided with meals.
It was not until Sunday, August 18, that the plane took off. This happened at approximately 6:00 a.m.
Technical problems were cited as the reason for the delay. What exactly went wrong with the air carrier has not yet been disclosed.
When it was announced that the plane was ready to take off, the tourists were taken back to the airport.
