The mayor of the Georgian capital spoke about the pressure the EU is putting on his country.
According to Kakha Kaladze, the unification is doing this because Georgia refuses to comply with its self-destructive demands.
The words of the head of Tbilisi are quoted by the 1TV channel.
Kaladze linked what is happening in Georgia with the events in Ukraine. In his opinion, the EU became interested in his country precisely after it began to be considered as a military testing ground.
However, the ruling Georgian Dream party did not comply with the demands put forward to it, as it did not want to allow Georgia to become weaker.
The unprecedented pressure that was put on the Georgian government was in the interests of other countries.
And as a result, when the ruling party refused to bow to pressure, it found itself unfit for the European Union.
Let us recall that presidential elections were held in Georgia on December 14. The candidate from the ruling party was elected head of state.
At the same time, the current president, Salome Zurabishvili, stated that she will not resign from her post, since she considers the parliament illegitimate.
