A stranger on a bus almost bit off the face of a 19-year-old girl in front of passengers in Gloucestershire, Britain.
The man suddenly attacked the girl, biting her mouth and nose, causing her left nostril and lower lip to swell.
He sank his teeth into her face and shook his head from side to side, the Metro newspaper writes.
As a result of the attack, part of the teenager's lip and left nostril were seriously damaged, and the right side of his lip was deeply cut.
The girl was initially treated at Cheltenham Hospital before being transferred to Gloucester Hospital for emergency surgery.
The student was saved by her friends, who took the bloody girl to the hospital.
The victim required about 50 stitches to stitch up her lips, cheeks and nose.
The girl said that she grabbed the attacker by the back of the head with her hands because she knew that he was preparing to tear off her nose and lips.
Police have identified the aggressive man.
He was a 53-year-old British man who pleaded guilty. However, the motives for his actions remain unknown.
