The cruise ship "Spectre of the Seas" with a group of Russians on board successfully arrived in Shanghai after a delay in the Japanese port of Yokohama.
The ship was supposed to reach its final destination on November 9, but was unable to leave the Japanese port due to a technical problem with its engine.
As a result of the delay, the airliner set off only on November 8, RIA Novosti reports.
Hundreds of Russian tourists who found themselves in Japan without visas were unable to get to Shanghai on their own.
The ship arrived safely at Wusong International Cruise Port in Shanghai's Baoshan District early this morning.
Now the cruise ship passengers will be able to continue their journey.
Most of the Russians, the embassy reports, will soon fly to Russia.
