Bad weather in eastern Spain has claimed the lives of nearly a hundred people.
The downpour caused flooding in Valencia and several other regions of the country, local media reported.
On Wednesday, October 30, it became known that 95 people died as a result of flooding in Spain, the DCLM publication reports.
92 people died in Valencia, two in Castilla-La Mancha and one in Andalusia.
In addition, many people have ended up in hospitals, many of whom are elderly Spaniards who need special care.
The Russian diplomatic mission in Spain reported that it has no information about whether there are Russian citizens among the victims or injured.
Meanwhile, a three-day mourning period was declared in the kingdom.
Authorities in several regions of Spain will have to lead the work of restoring damaged infrastructure once the disaster subsides.
In the meantime, rescuers, military personnel and volunteers are doing everything to minimize the number of dead and injured.
The media notes that these are the worst floods to hit Spain in the last 30 years.
