A hunting incident that occurred in the USA has become known.
A wounded bear, fleeing up a tree, fell right on top of one of the hunters.
The Associated Press reported the incident.
It is noted that the victim received serious injuries and died in hospital on Friday last week.
Circumstances of the incident
According to the AP publication, the incident happened on December 9 in Lunenburg County. A group of men were hunting a bear in the Virginia woods.
In an attempt to hide from the hunters, the animal climbed a tree, where it was spotted.
One of the gunmen fired a shot, not noticing that 58-year-old Lester S. Harvey was also at the base of the tree.
The wounded animal lost its balance and fell right on the man. He was given first aid at the scene and then sent to the hospital.
However, the doctors were unable to help the victim, and he died from his injuries. It is specified that the deceased left behind five children and eight grandchildren.
