The Russian Embassy has asked its citizens to remain vigilant on the day of the presidential elections.
Voting will take place on September 21, 2024, across the island.
The embassy recommends that Russians limit their movement during this time and avoid large gatherings of people.
Citizens who encounter situations that are dangerous to health and life are advised to notify the duty consul of the Russian embassy in Sri Lanka.

Presidential elections in Sri Lanka will be held in 2024 in accordance with the constitution.
Voting on them was approved by the decision of the electoral commission.
