Passengers went on a hunger strike after the SH Diana's engine broke down and the route was changed.

The tourists wanted to spend a few days in Antarctica, but the excursion had to be cancelled for safety reasons.

The tourist liner headed to Ushuaia, where it will dock on November 30. The spare parts needed to repair the ship will be delivered to the port.

Passengers were offered a 50% refund on their cruise fare, despite the 30% limit set by law.

Tourists were also offered a 65% discount on future trips.

Many agreed to these conditions, but some passengers still decided to take the head as a sign of protest.

According to official data, more than 170 people went on the cruise on board the SH Diana. Tour prices range from 872 thousand to 1.4 million rubles.

Tourists from Russia and China have decided to starve, insisting on a full refund of the cost of the trip. They said that they chose this cruise only for the sake of Antarctica.

The complaint, signed by nine passengers, has been filed with the International Trade Organization. Numerous lawsuits are also being prepared.
