It has become known how the Russian hockey player is living in the American state of Texas.
Despite the calm living conditions, the athlete admitted that he was thinking about buying a weapon.
RIA Novosti reports this with reference to a conversation with National Hockey League (NHL) Dallas Stars defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin.
Lyubushkin spoke extremely positively about the state of Texas, to which he moved from California.
According to the athlete, there is an extremely friendly Russian-speaking community here, as well as low gas prices.
He noted that almost every Texan has a gun at home. Lyubushkin admitted that he himself is thinking about buying one, but he understands what a huge responsibility such a step places on him.
You have to know what to do with it [the weapon – editor’s note], the athlete said.
He also noted that, overall, Texas seemed more conservative to him than California, and he didn't like some of the latter's cultural tendencies while he lived there.
